Nature’s Sunshine Products is an American company founded in 1972 by the Hughes family. It was the first company in the world to put herbs into capsules — the idea that gave rise to the whole modern herbal supplement market.
The company sources its own raw materials, manufactures and packages in its own facility, certified to NSF Good Manufacturing Practice. Every product goes through more than six hundred tests, from the identity of the raw material to the purity of the finished batch. In 2015 the company opened the Hughes Center for Research and Innovation, where new formulas are developed.
